Eat Drink Look Listen
We started off as a small coffee house in the lakeview neighborhood over 25 years ago. From that starting point the owners, Michael and Helen Cameron, expanded their business to become a restaurant, a music venue, and they recently opened greenstar brewing, the first certified organic brewery in Illinois. The brewery is at our original location at Clark and Grace.

It was a pleasant experience! The beautiful park outside with their big open window gives quite a scene. The donuts and coffee were enjoyable, but it does cost higher than usual. I and the register employee can't hear each other very well because of the barrier at the cash register, but they were nice enough. They're pricey and had a little uppity vibe, too.

CREATING A BETTER WORLD
Our founders Todd Carmichael and J.P. Iberti built La Colombe on a simple but ambitious mission: to make the world better through coffee. What started out as a vision for serving the best coffee to the country, became an opportunity to influence meaningful change around the world.
What Others Are Saying
This is my favorite coffee on earth. From drip coffee to espresso, even cold canned beer, your order will not go wrong. The service is generally good and great, but I recently discovered a new and ironic barista. not bad! Maybe he had a bad day today.
I will come back anyway, because my experience is mostly positive and coffee is the best.
Thank you all!

This is my favourite place. Good latte. Almond milk and oat milk latte.
They also have good cakes. The ham and cheese croissant is one of my favorites in this city. I also like everything in Denmark, but there is nothing that touches ham and cheese.

Okay, I was excited when they opened, and I like the interior. Unfortunately, I keep seeing very bad customer service here. They seem to be angry with their customers and hate their jobs. Soon after Covid happened, he has received water. Behind another customer, I witnessed a staff member dressed unpleasantly. Turn around and leave in disgust! Never! I recommend Lost Larson (for example in Paris), Kopi or Starbucks.
