Real good coffee, for the people.
Coffee tumbling out of the roaster into the cooling tray is truly satisfying to the senses. Experience it close-up from our two San Franciscan drum roasters. See, smell, hear and taste the coffee from our second floor seating that adjoins the roasting area. Coffee and bread bring people together. Messenger cafe brings messenger coffee and ibis bakery together. Come find your seat at the table.

I think it's the best coffee shop in MCI. Three stories of bakery, roaster, and coffee shop with a cool rooftop patio. The syrups, too, are made on site. A lavender latte with oak milk, a goat cheese croissant, and the ambiance were all top notch. They were roasting a new batch of coffee at one point, and the smell was incredible! Come and spend some time here. It will not disappoint you.

Starbucks is my favorite, but I've begun to explore local coffee shops. I chose the black coffee on my first visit to Second Best Coffee. Second Best's Columbian coffee is 1000% better than Starbucks' black coffee. There is no burnt taste or bitterness (which I sometimes like). Everything went smoothly! I'm eager to try their other concoctions.
