After the only coffee shop on Shore Drive closed in 2015, Ashley saw a need for a new coffee shop in the community, and she knew that coffee shops were a place that could bring people together through all seasons of life. Ashley wanted her shop to be different than other coffee shops in Hampton Roads, so she had the idea of combining coffee and whiskey together, to create the most unique community destination in Virginia Beach.

I love this place. The coffee there is good and the girls who work there are so nice. I always get the poke bowl, but the tuna is always cut with the grain instead of against it, which makes it difficult to eat without tearing it apart first. We love the smoothie bowls as well as the breakfast sandwiches. In addition, it's really nice that masks aren't a big problem anymore since most places have lifted the mask restrictions. Masks make it hard to eat or drink!

I tried the oat milk mocha and a piece of coffee cake. It was 9:30 on a Saturday morning, it had a bit of a line, but it moved quickly. The mocha I got was tasted perfect and well-blended, and the coffee cake was absolutely great. Another plus is that the shop tolerates people to use the unisex restroom, unlike some other businesses on the Downtown Mall.

Not the best in C’ville but also not bad for its relatively affordable. Both the cappuccino and iced latte I had were decent. The place has lots of tables for working or doing schoolwork, a good place to stay. But, when it is very crowded, it’s hard to find a parking space and/or a spot to stay while you’re there.
